Certain nationalities are designated by the Indonesian government as requiring specialized, high-level authorization (Calling Visa) directly from the Immigration Head Office and a Clearing House in Jakarta prior to entry. Affected Nationalities (Subject to change): Currently, citizens of countries including Afghanistan, Guinea, Israel, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, North Korea, and Somalia require this specific clearance process. The Clearing House Process: The application undergoes strict assessment by a joint committee comprising the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Police, and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN). Sponsorship Types: The applicant must have an Indonesian sponsor, which can either be a corporate entity (for business purposes) or an Indonesian spouse (for family visits).
