Spouse Visa (Spouse KITAS)

For expatriates married to Indonesian citizens, the Spouse KITAS (Index 317) offers a stable environment, legally sound status, and a unique right to work independently under certain conditions. Overview: The Spouse KITAS allows foreign nationals married to an Indonesian citizen to reside in Indonesia. Unlike standard dependent visas, it offers a direct route to permanent residency (KITAP) after just two years of marriage. Key Requirements: • Official marriage certificate (Buku Nikah for Muslim marriages or Catatan Sipil for non-Muslims, or reported foreign marriage). • ID documents (KTP) and Family Card (Kartu Keluarga) of the Indonesian spouse. • Proof of domicile in Indonesia. Working on a Spouse KITAS: Under Indonesian law, a Spouse KITAS holder is permitted to work independently or as a freelancer to support the family. If choosing to work for a company, the company must apply for a separate work permit without needing to change the underlying KITAS. We streamline the sponsorship and application procedures, providing peace of mind and full compliance with the latest immigration regulations.
